November 2012

We celebrated my 33rd birthday, which is a national Hollyday, this year. Nelson took the kids and I to breakfast at Kneaders. That night Nelson took me to the temple and to dinner. It was snowing and so pretty. It was a nice date night.

The next night we had family and friends over for Winston and I's birthday party. We had soup and breadsticks. Nelson had to work unfortunately, so he missed the party. My Grandma Mac brought me this huge cinnamon roll from Angie's restaurant. Bless her.

Sarah made me this amazing cheesecake since I don't do cake. I was nice enough to share FYI.

Winston wasn't too keen on his cake.

My Dad sent me this amazing text this year. A little early, at 9:14pm this year. He did buy me a cute sweatshirt a week earlier and came to see me so he's off the hook.

As for Thanksgiving, I worked all day. Boo. Hiss. Nelson had the day off so he took the kids to have Thanksgiving with his family. They went to South Jordan and ate at his sister Connie's. You can always tell by Evy's hair and clothes that I am working. Ha ha. It sure is a bummer to work holidays and be away from your kids.

Halloweenie 2012

We went to Gardner Village (Daybreak Mom central) with my sister, mom and Kate. Maggie and I felt like we had to wear knee high boots and a big chunky scarf in order to enter. Evy wouldn't sit near the witch.

We went to Sarah and Travis's house to carve pumpkins. Nelson did this little beauty.

I apologize to Coleman for squishing the crap out of him in this picture.

Nelson dressed up for work on Halloween. I guess lab nerds can have fun. He was a NFL replacement referee.

Evy getting ready for Halloween. I love little girls in curlers.

I made Evy put on my mom wig over her curlers. I thought the curlers were a great touch, don't you? A Halloween cannot go by without my mom wig.

I made Coleman give it a try as well.

Ready to go trick-or-treating, or as Evy says, "trick-or-freating."

She is obsessed with princesses, especially Snow White. I would have loved it if she wanted to be Elvira or something.

Evy and Coleman. We went trick-or-treating to Logan Nursing Home first. They give Evy tons of candy. Everyone kept asking if Coleman wanted some candy. I was like, um no thanks. Maybe a giant tootsie roll would be perfect or a jolly rancher.

We then went trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. Then we hopped on our neighbor's 4 wheeler and went to some houses in our ward that live east of us. This is our neighbor Cameron. He wanted to be a blue cat, so a blue cat he was.
Almost forgot, we went to the annual Pumpkin Walk in North Logan. We went during the day which was much less crowded. We came straight from their doctor appointment where they got their flu shots. What troopers. It didn't even phase them. It poured for the next two days right after we went. Glad we went when we did.

I also made owl cupcakes for Nelson's work potluck. I am not this creative. I just look at Pinterest for ideas. Bless you, Pinterest.
