California Sept.16-19, 2010

We went to Disneyland for the "Give a day, get a day" promotion. We made blankets last winter for children. Matt and his family went, as well as Casey and his family (minus Mel who is 8 months pregnant). Elena, Nelson, Evy and I also all went. This is Kate, Jack and Maddi in tomorrowland. Maddi practically took a bath in this thing. P.S. Captain Eo with Michael Jackson is back and it blew my mind.

Kate "tigger is awesome" McFarland

Evy threw a fit before finally falling asleep. Nelson forgot her big stroller and I was devastated by the news. Evy absolutely hated the Peter Pan and Pirates of the Carribean rides. If she could have said, "get me offa this thing!" She would have. She did like Finding Nemo and It's a Small World. She pretty much hated anything loud or dark. Go figure.

Nelson and Evy on the "It's a Small World" ride. She looks terrified, but I assure you she liked it.

Evy and Holly

Waiting for the parade: Jack, Evy, Sami (had a tooth infection), Maddi, Kate and Zach (behind Kate in his carseat)

Evy and Holly

Saturday we hit Newport beach. Evy, Kate, Jack and Maddi

Jack, Sami, Matt, Casey, Kate, Maddi (being buried), Nelson

On the way home we visited Aunt Shawna and Uncle Brent's home in St. George. I am ready to go again but not ready to drive!

Evy's 1st Birthday!

Nelson and I made butterfly cakes for Evy's 1st birthday. This is the one I decorated.

This is Nelson's. Don't let Nelson fool you. He actually really likes this stuff. You should see him decorate gingerbread houses.

Holly and the little lady of the hour.

Kim, Evy, Elena, Abbie

Evy and her cousin Sara. Evy also had a mouse visit. Ha ha. Poor Karlene found a mouse that day and was on full alert with traps everywhere. It made a visit at the end of the party.

Sara, Holly and Evy. We didn't have a high chair handy so we stripped her down and had her eat it on the counter.

She was kind of a dainty little thing eating it. She rubbed more on her legs than she put in her mouth. I thought she'd get sick because I don't give her many sweets (many people think I am heartless for this) but she luckily didn't eat very much. We also had homemade raspberry ice cream. Yum. She got lots of cute toys and stuff to wear. Happy birthday lil' darling!

Nelson's deer hunt August 20-25, 2010

Nelson went hunting with his buddies last week near Cedar City. No, he didn't get anything. (That is A-ok with me; plenty of antlers on the wall and meat in the freezer already if you know what I mean)

Mandy, Tyler and Camden. I know Mandy will be thrilled this picture is on here!

Congrats Tyler! Sorry for the weak-stomached folk.

Meanwhile, I started my bachelor degree in nursing at Weber State University. It is mostly online and I go to class occasionally. This semester I am learning about the history of nursing and gerontology (study of old people). Nelson isn't excited but I am excited to learn. It's not like nursing school and not so much pressure. School is definitely different now that I have a child. I have to study at night and nap time.

Swimming Aug 2010

Eat your heart out ladies, this farmer with a tan is mine. Evy's first time at the swimming pool.

Evy got water up her nose a couple times, hopefully she'll forgive me. She did great on the high dive... Is it just me or do they look a lot alike here?

So long to my cush lifestyle of her staying in one spot. She isn't walking yet. She's crawling and pulling herself up on things.

Zach's blessing Aug.1, 2010

We went to cute little Zach's blessing On Sunday.

And who's the handsome papa? Oh Matt, I hope Zach turns out just like you.

Little old lady

Holly and "JSYK" this is cousin Stacy.

Blessings can be so tiring.

Elena and yet another grandchild she can feed fruit snacks to and shop for small prizes at All A Dollar.

July 24, 2010 Bon Voyage Sether!

We got together on the 24th to wish Heather and Seth good luck in Chicago. Seth will be starting law school there this fall.

Kim, Wyatt, Lindsey, Jessica, Abby, Vienna, Mindy, Molly, Heather, Miles, Lindsey, Holly and Evy (the miracle of this picture is that Wyatt held still)

Mindy's baby Molly and Evy playing. I love how Evy is five months older than Molly but they are both at the same stage of crawling.

What is Wyatt eating? I'll let you decide.
