August 1-3 we went to Soda Springs for the Krogue Family reunion. It's at the farm Nelson's Grandpa Krogue and his brothers started and lived. Leonard is the only surviving brother. We have these reunions every 3 years. Evy and Coleman next to the big shed/barn.

He still has their tractors in the shed and my kids love playing on them. This is Evy and Nelson's cousin's daughter Emma.

August 14, Matt and Kate came up to visit. Coleman fell asleep on the floor the minute they left.

August 15-16th we went to Grouse Creek with the Kimbers. Evy enjoying their tire swing.

Nelson and I drove to Hyrum one night to visit his parents who were camping at Hyrum Reservior. We decided to find the house my Grandma McFarland grew up in,. She was one of 12 kids. It's been fixed up a bit since it's been sold.

Robin got Coleman a bigger bow at the Fair and Coleman loves it.

August 30th we got together with some of the McFarlands since my Aunt Jill and Uncle Scott were in town from Virginia. This is Merlin Olsen Park.

July 14-31, 2014

 

July 18th, My last day at Logan Regional Hospital on the Pediatric/Surgical Care unit. I worked there 3 years but wanted to work less hours. I switched to IHC Home Health and Hospice as an on call nurse. Hopefully this will work better for my family.

That night we went to the Hyde Park Days. They have blow up jump houses, a band, food and fireworks. Everyone in the area goes and it's fun to hang out with everyone. This is Evy and her friend Kate.

July 19th. The next Saturday morning is always the Hyde Park parade. It's always really small but we love small town parades. Evy gets to be in our ward's primary float every year.

July 22 Coleman had his first dentist appointment. He did really well!

July 24th was the beginning of our annual McFarland Family campout. My family chose to go to Mchaven this year at my Grandma's property. This is us in Glendale Reservoir taking a ride in Nelson's fishing boat.

My cousin Billie's family came as well as all the McFarlands, Grandma McFarland and her husband, Grandpa Ray.

Evy, Maddi and Kate. We went swimming at the Riverdale hot springs resort on the 25th but I didn't take pictures. It was totally ghetto but it's so nice to swim in a hot pool and go down a big water slide that was totally not guarded by a life guard.

July 31st. This is at home after our trip. Just showing you how Coleman likes to take naps. He empties out all the clothes out of his dresser and then sleeps on it. It's such a delight to clean up.

July 3-13, 2014

July 3rd, Nelson took the kids to Lamont, Idaho to fish. You can tell when Nelson's in charge and I am at work. The kids go fishing and Evy's hair looks interesting.

July 5th we went to the Cache Valley Cruise In on Main Street. Gene & Karlene came as well as Winston and Maggie.

July 6th we went to Blacksmith Fork Canyon for a weenie roast with our neighbors the Henries, Maggie and Winston. Nelson, Winston and Coleman.

We've had a lot of s'mores this summer and I don't plan on stopping. Evy and Holly.

Sawtooth National Forest at Cleveland Lake. July 10-13. Ignore Coleman's pink jacket. He already soaked his the first day we got there. We bought him this mini bow and he loved it. He shot it over and over again (or I should say made us shoot it for him).

We drove around for a spot near the creek. Luckily we got there on a Thursday before everything filled up. My kids loved the creek and taking walks around the double loop campsites.

It was super hot at home. Here it was 70s-80s. It felt so much better.

We brought our canoe and went out a couple times a day. We made fun of a huge "Wilson" family reunion that wore matching t-shirts. When they'd hike around the lake Evy would try to get them with her squirt gun from the canoe and yell "I'm going to get you Wilsons!" It made me giggle.

We took a drive and explored. This was a mini cave. Snow was all around and it was fun to play in when it wasn't cold outside. Wouldn't that be the perfect winter?

We drove up to the top of the mountains to the ranger station. They have a fire lookout point there. You can see everything from here. It was cold up there but pretty. The ranger let us come in the station, look at things and show us how it all works.

Nelson wanted to deep fry some breaded fish. No one wanted to touch the fish but him so we ate a different dinner. He loved it though. We cooked over the fire a lot this trip in the dutch ovens or on the grill.

Evy likes to sing atop things and she also likes me to take her picture. She also kept wandering off to this older couple's campsite and hanging out with them and their dog. Evy is a very unshy child to say the least.
