Sunday June 14 we went to Grandma Marion and Grandpa Ray's house for a steak BBQ. My Aunt Jill and Uncle Scott were in town from Virginia so we all got together. This is my cousin Billie and me. Billie is having her second set of twins (take a second to breathe that in) in October.
Billie's son Granite, our niece Maddi and nephew Jack
Ray decided to launch two liter bottles. This was a great idea until they started crash landing on the ornery older folk neighbors' roofs and yards.
Uncle Bill and Steve. You must show your armpits in order to sit on this couch.
Cousin Mason, Uncle Michael, Casey, Sami, Kimball Jack (Billie's boy)
You may think we are indoors at first glance, but don't judge too quickly. My grandma took all of her old furniture that used to be in the basement of my grandparent's home and made her own little room on her patio, walls included. How genious is that?

Steve and Maddi. He shows his love to his grandchildren by choking them...

Steve took us once again to look at the property he and Elena bought in Riverdale, Idaho. It is 8 acres. Most of it is a giant mountain that reminds me a bit of Dolly Parton. Look closely, can you see our dog?
Riverdale property.
We stopped at a museum in Montpelier, Idaho. Nelson just insisted we stop and look at these quilts.
Saturday night June 13th we went to Pickleville Playhouse in Bear Lake. Steve insisted that little Jackboy come so therefore he was in charge of him. He kept asking when the show was going to start even when it was almost over. I think he was expecting a movie.
Nelson and Holly. I'm not sure we were ready for the picture to be taken by the look on our faces.

Steve and Jack at the Ashworth's cabin
We went hiking on a trail near the cabin. Nelson and Taggert.
Nelson thought it would be funny for some reason to make Taggert walk on this log. Look closely at Steve's shirt.
Elena at the trail entrance. Wherever she goes, her Disneyland jacket goes.
Friday June 12th. Sami, Maddi, and Jack always beg Nelson for rides in his truck.
We took Maddi and Sami to the park.It is the school playground where Steve went to elementary school. It is across the street from his house he grew up in in River Heights. Casey now lives across the street. Sami wouldn't come near this dinosaur. It terrifies her.
It almost - ALMOST - looks like you have a life here! High five!
ReplyDeleteYou look really cute in that picture with Billie. Exciting that your parents bought land, but what do you do with a big hill? Just wonderin.
