Babysitting the Baileys June 15-19, 2010

I got to hang out with my niece Amanda and nephew Chase this week while their parents were at Lake Mead. Some things I forgot about teenagers: they love movies, candy, soda, video games, sports, friends, phones and computers. I met these two when they were ages 6 and 3. It has been fun to see them grow.

Evy hanging out like it's normal to have a bow around your eyes.

Only in Logan

Living in Logan, I have noticed, is much different than Salt Lake. For instance, you get fantastic factories like Gossners.

And cute little bungalows such as this from the 50's.

And then there is this little number... It is rented to college students and I think split into 3 different apartments. It just doesn't make any sense.

Here is another view of it. It has anything from rocks, wood, tile, stucco and siding on the outside.

Everyone meet here during an earthquake okay? Yes this is a creek right below it that the balcony is hanging over.

Onto our next one: a flamingo and Christmas wreath in the springtime. Precious.

Genius! A tree converted into a basketball hoop!

Memorial Weekend May 29-31, 2010

We hit the cabin this weekend. Nelson and Evy.

Uncle Leonard came. He insisted on taking a nap at the top of the stairs so he can "hear the noise" while he slept. Leonard lives alone and loves the commotion of people.

When we all got together what did everyone do? Check out each others' iphones. I have learned the Ashworth and Krogue families love the latest gadgets. Nelson and I just looked on because we never have the latest gadgets.

Some good old fashioned technological family time.
L-R Hailey, Karlene, Sara, Pete, Karen, Keith and Ursula. I posed for a million pictures that day so they could all add me to their contact list.

Nelson's aunts Karen and Ursula.

Gene, Rick, Karlene, Ursula, Pete, Keith.

Sara played with Evy the whole time. It was great. Evy was bored when she left.

This will be the only age I will let Evy pose on a motorcycle like this. Chandler, Evy, Hailey.

Hailey, Taggert, Toby, Oreo and Nelson. I can see the next installment of Airbud plays tetherball coming soon.

Holly and Evy.

Beehives on Leonard's property in St. Charles, Idaho. This is for Casey who claims he is going to have beehives someday.

Memorial day afternoon we went to my grandma McFarland Garrard's house for dinner.

Elena teaching grandpa Ray to text. Now who is going to teach Elena to text properly?
