Christmas parties Dec.16-18, 2011

We came down to visit our families this weekend for Christmas parties. We had a Christmas breakfast at my parents' house that consisted of our favorite Aebelskiver. Evy, Jack, Maddi, Kate.
Elena cooking up some breakfast in one of her amazing Christmas sweaters.
Simone, Maddi, Elena, Evy and Jack. Part of my mom's huge book collection.
We had dinner at Nelson's parents' house with his whole family. Uncle Leonard came from Ogden. Evy wouldn't eat because she saw all the candy beforehand and it drove us nuts.
Gene and Karlene bought pizza which we decided was the way to go. Everyone is sick of cooking by now in December. Although, everyone did make treats.
We had a pinata in the garage. Any guesses as to what this was? We're thinking a snowman. I am wondering if it didn't sell over Halloween so they said it was a snowman.
Evy's haul of candy from the pinata. Candy is her favorite word these days. Somehow that word sneaks into almost every sentence.
We played musical chairs in the basement "Ashworth style". They are so crazy that they break chairs, so we just put tape on the floor instead. This is so foreign to me because you can't get McFarlands to play any game for the life of you. I blame this mostly on the men (Nelson included). But the Ashworths don't only play, they get seriously into it.
Hailey, Evy, Amanda
Crystal and Connie were the last two on one round and were fighting to the death.
This is the guys' round and they take it very seriously I learned.

I made sure to stay back 10 feet.
I hardly played because I am chubby and feel like I am 80 years old right now. After seeing the guys play, I was certain I would be killed.
Linley and Sawyer sang for us. I am sure Sawyer will continue to sing for us clear into his teens, right Sawyer?
Gene, Ben, Connie and Evy. Evy was desperately trying to get Connie to open some taffy for her, but Nelson and I had had it with her candy obsession.
Amanda and Evy. Evy's older cousins are very sweet to her.
