September 2015

Sept. 1: Coleman's first day of preschool. He's been asking to go to school forever. He goes twice a week but really I should send him more often because he needs to be busy. He'll rarely tell me what he did that day but at least I know he's having fun.

Evy's in tumbling. We have to wander the halls at Skyview to keep the boys entertained. Coleman couldn't make it through the hour.

Sept 6 we went to my Grandma and Grandpa Call's for Labor Day. I am glad it's a place Nelson likes to go to as well. Can you see why? They have their own pond and live along the Snake River. Nelson's trying out his new pontoon.

I don't like my kids to watch movies while camping and Sami called me out on it but we weren't camping and it's actually really fun to watch a movie at 9pm when it gets cold. Sami agreed. Especially when Easy cheese is involved.

Selfie stick with the cousins

Nelson caught our fish for the fish fry.

My dad cooking up some burgers. Yes he wore jammies all day.

The terrible twosome. They did a lot of tractor climbing, treat stealing and peeing in the fields.

We are nervous for the teenage years.

Nelson made home made root beer for the first time. His parents always make it but we have never done it ourselves. It was a hit of course.

Grandma Carol got to meet Nolan

We hit the Eastern Idaho State Fair that night. It's a must. My kids checking out the tank.

Elephant ears. The line was tremendous but we aren't leaving without one of these babies.

Evy turns 6! My mom gave her some temporary blue hair dye if you can see it.

I had Nelson take her to tumbling and I had her friends all come over and surprise her. I asked Evy if she wanted to buy a cake so I could take the easy way out. She said no, she likes to make them. So it's not amazing but we had fun making it.

Enjoying cake and ice cream. It's nice it's still warm outside on her birthday.

We got her a Cinderella dress from the live action new Cinderella movie.

They did nails and makeup with some of her presents.

Sept. 11 we went to the USU vs U of U game in Salt Lake. We hit dinner with Crystal before. Nelson's drinking Cream Soda which I thought was bitter.

Nolan turns 5 months!

Nelson picking Coleman's nose while he sleeps.

I make Evy can with me. She usually lasts a little bit then announces she's done.

September 16, Nelson turns 37. Wow, what a tough year for him. It's been the hardest one ever in my life. It makes our celebration even sweeter.

His usual chocolate cake. He hates attention and never will let me have a party. Drives me nuts. He just wanted to be with our little family this year.

We always go out with the Henries every year. We hit El Toro Viejo.

We got the piano I used as a kid from my parents. We are going to paint it for Evy to use.

The kids and I hanging out at A&W while Nelson was at work. They have a root beer obsession.

Evy lost her tooth during tumbling the one time I dropped her off and didn't stay. Sept 29th. She lost her bottom front teeth last October.

August 2015

We were a little late in the game but we finally got to go camping. That is what we wanted to do most of all during the summer but couldn't.

We went to my grandma's property in Glendale. It was majorly hot with pokey grass but nice to be out.

Nelson and Coleman enjoying the fire pit.

s'mores

My dad's cousins own the property next to us so we go over there to hang out. They've got a sweet set up and it's a lot more comfortable.

I stayed here in this hammock as long as I could because I needed it and enjoyed it. When you've been held prisoner all summer (and that's how we felt) it makes you appreciate being outside and just being able to enjoy the little things.

Pancakes for breakfast. It's my kids' favorite.

Evy

Holly and Nolan. Coleman and Nelson were off in the canoe. Nelson puts me to work when he's around so this was my only chance to relax.

I love when they sleep with their bum in the air.

Nelson took my kids to the cabin for the weekend. I was on call so I couldn't go. Nolan and I stayed home.

I hit the Olsen family reunion. I had to work right after, hence my scrubs. Mason,
Jeanne and Michael Fernandez, Holly, Nolan, Grandma Mac, Julie, Steve and Elena

Nolan is 4 months old!

We went to Weston to fish. It was stinky and kinda gross there but fun to be out. My kids love it.

Coleman trying to suction the baby's nose. Oh dear.

We went back to Seven Peaks. Coleman lasted until 4:00.

Nelson bought Coleman a star trooper outfit. We had to cut the feet.

Aggie scrimmage game.

Grandma Mac and Nolan

Evy's first day of kindergarten. She took this herself.

We all took her to the bus and Nelson and I felt weird after having her gone. Pretty weird.

Coleman was sick for a few days so we put him in our room to sleep. Right before bed he set up his train tracks. I came to bed and found this in my room. I thought it was funny.

Nelson treated himself to another inflatable pontoon. How many can a guy have?

Cute little Nolan. If I am super tired and my older two are in bed, I'll let Nolan lay by me until he's tired and ready for bed. That way I can watch Parks and Recreation (great show).
