March 2012

Coleman started giving us big smiles.

Evy likes to play with Coleman.

I took the kids down to my parents' house for a couple days and Winston and Coleman got to play.

We went fishing in Mantua last night because it was such a nice day. We met up with our friends Robin and Amber and their little girl Avery.

Evy and Avery

Nelson has always counted down until he could take his kids fishing. I guess the time has finally arrived although Evy can't do too much yet. She seems to like everything Nelson takes her to do. Hopefully this will last into her teenage years, right?

Avery spilled the container of worms and they were both little divas. They were both so grossed out by it. Thanks to Amber for putting them back in the container because I think they are gross too.

Nelson started our garden for the year in the empty lot behind us like he did last year. We figure it has been empty since the beginning of time, so odds are no one will be using it soon. We can't put it on our property quite yet because we are attempting to put sprinklers and grass in this spring and summer (heaven help us). Today we planted peas. Nelson is also planning on planting carrots, cabbage (yuck), radishes (double yuck), lettuce, tomatoes, and that is all I can remember. Evy helped by planting some peas and of course, stepping all over the garden. She also kept reminding Nelson to "be careful" while he was tilling. I had to give Nelson a couple of Aleves after all this.

Coleman's blessing March 4, 2012

Nelson blessed Coleman in our ward this past Sunday and our family all made the drive to come up. Luckily it was a warm and sunny day. He was a way good baby during the blessing and didn't cry. My Dad said he gave a big smile when Nelson blessed him with a healthy body.

Triple trouble. Jack, Kate and Evy (her attempt at a forced smile). Notice Evy isn't interested in food, which always happens when there are better things for her to do.

This is my crappy attempt at taking a picture of him really quick before he ruins the blessing outfit.

Karianne and Ben came with their one-of-a-kind spice maple bacon cupcakes.

Maggie and I demonstrating what not to do in a photo.

Bless Aunt Michele for bringing her signature chocolate chip cookies she made at the farm. According to her, it took 4.5 hours to make that many. Delightful.
